How do the lab tests work?

Although Lab Testing is not required, we highly recommend this step in the program. It’s our best way of determining the factors that go into your metabolic health. For those who choose to have Lab Testing as part of the initial baseline determination, we will gather information about your hormonal balance from a set of lab results) lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides), HbA1c (blood sugar), hs-CRP (inflammation), and cortisol (stress). Cortisol will be measured with saliva and the others with a blood draw at a convenient local lab. We will determine several of your metabolic levels and guide you along a unique path towards adjusting your set point to help you lose weight and keep it off.

We’ll use your lab results, along with your intake questionnaire and the data from your two-week baseline data collection period to craft a personalized weight loss Plan just for you.

Again, for those who choose to have lab testing, at approximately 15 weeks after the program starts, Sensable Health will ask you to visit a convenient Quest Diagnostics lab. The purpose of this testing is to determine how your metabolism and hormones have changed from all you have done up to that point. Your coach will set up a call with you to go over the results and, if needed, suggest modifications to your plan for the rest of the program.
